I’ve had great success combining it with an interface that has a clean preamp. It opens up the sound dramatically.
While I love the TLM 102, I do think it’s a bit pricey for beginners. There are excellent alternatives out there.
I totally disagree! For serious use, investing in a TLM 102 is wise. You won’t regret it in the long run.
It’s definitely subjective, isn’t it? I mean, for someone starting, a lower-priced mic could suffice until they’re ready to upgrade.
I adore how light it is! I can easily transport it for gigs. Just don’t drop it, or you’ll cry!
Haha, so true! I’ve almost dropped mine a couple of times. That would lead to an expensive tear!
As for personal experiences, I think it performs exceptionally well in studio settings but can be overkill for casual recordings.
