Anyone have info on Epiphone made in USA guitars?

It’s amusing how passionate we all are about our guitars! At the end of the day, whether it’s made in the USA or overseas, it’s all about how we connect with the instrument!

I’ve had great luck restoring my vintage Epiphones! Make sure to check the neck relief and fret wear. Parts can often be sourced from online retailers or vintage guitar shops.

That’s awesome, jerrycarr! For neck relief, what measurements do you usually follow? I’m trying to get mine just right.

When it comes to preserving the finish, I recommend using a delicate polish specifically for nitrocellulose. It’s made a world of difference for my guitars.

Great tip! I’ve always worried about damaging the finish with regular polishes. Any brands you suggest?

I always use Virtuoso polish. It’s gentle but effective. As for parts, eBay can sometimes be a hidden goldmine, but just be cautious of fakes!

Agreed! I’ve also had success at my local music store. It’s nice to support local businesses!

I’ve had vintage Epiphones, but the tuners can be a pain. Consider upgrading to locking tuners for better stability!

Absolutely! Locking tuners are a great idea, but are they period-correct for classic models?

Who needs period-correct? Just tune it right and rock out, right? But yeah, I guess it depends on personal preference and your goals for the guitar.

Haha, true! As long as it plays great, that’s what matters in the end! Furthermore, keeping moisture levels at a steady rate can prevent warping. Just something to think about!
