Anyone installed a Bigsby on an Epiphone Les Paul? Need tips!

For me, it definitely added warmth. I think it depends on your amp settings and the pickups you use.

I love my Bigsby! The sound is richer, and the vibrato feels fantastic. I made a sound sample comparing it to my stock setup. Anyone want to hear it?

Yes, please share! I’d love to hear the difference.

The Bigsby can definitely change the dynamics of your playing! It’s also a great conversation starter. Just don’t get too carried away with it like I did once – almost broke a string mid-solo!

Haha, that sounds like a memorable moment! I appreciate the playful vibe you bring. Any tips to prevent that from happening?

You might want to consider lighter gauge strings – they bend easier with the tremolo. Just a thought if you’re getting into those solo moments!

That’s a good idea. I’ve always used heavy ones, but I might just try something lighter for the Bigsby.

In my experience, the best part of the Bigsby is the unique tone it brings to the table. It’s something you have to try to truly understand, even if it doesn’t suit every style.

I just installed a Bigsby on my Epiphone Les Paul last week! One thing I recommend is using a roller bridge. It really helps with tuning stability and makes the tremolo smoother.

Great advice! I’ve also read that locking tuners can help with tuning issues, especially when using a Bigsby. Anyone else tried this combo?

I installed mine a while back! Make sure to get the right spring tension for your Bigsby. Too tight, and it won’t return to pitch well. You could also look into a brass saddle for better sustain!

Excellent point! Also, using a set of good quality strings will contribute to keeping the tuning stable while using the Bigsby.

I totally agree with locking tuners! They make life so much easier with a Bigsby. Installation was a breeze for me. Just take your time with the fitment!

Has anyone experienced issues with the Bigsby affecting the tone? I’ve heard mixed opinions about this.

Not that I’ve noticed! I think the right setup can actually enhance the tone. Just experiment with different components until it feels right for you!

One thing I’ve found helpful is to ensure the roller setup is well-lubricated. It can make a noticeable difference in performance!

Great tip! Anyone have recommendations on specific lubricants? I want to keep everything functioning smoothly!

I’ve always used a graphite-based lubricant. It’s effective and keeps everything running smoothly! Install of the Bigsby can be tricky, so make sure to read the manual twice.

So true! When I installed mine, I nearly lost a screw and my mind in the process! Just patience is key.

Honestly, if you’re feeling nervous about installation, just find a knowledgeable tech in your area. It’ll save you time and potential heartache!
