I second that! I have the SKB 44 hard case for my Gibson and have never had an issue with it.
My buddy has a Gator soft case, and while it’s super portable, I wonder about the protection it offers during transport. Anyone had experiences with that?

I think soft cases are good for local gigs, but I wouldn’t trust them for flying. Better to be safe, right?
I’ve had a funny experience with my Case Mate. It looked cool, but the zipper broke after a few months! It was a bummer, but I got a replacement. Just be cautious with those zippers!
Zipper issues are the worst! I’d recommend sticking with brands known for durability.
Have any of you tried the PRS gig bags? They look awesome, but are they actually protective? I’m curious before I invest.
I own one, and while it’s stylish, I do feel a bit nervous carrying it around. It’s more for short trips.
Ultimately, it comes down to what you need. A good hard case is excellent for protection, but if you’re gigging, a lighter soft case might suit your needs better.
