True! The production quality this week was outstanding, but I did miss some of the spontaneous moments that classic Letterman shows used to have. What do you think?

That’s fair. A lot of it felt rehearsed. Still, the quality of musicianship was something special, wouldn’t you agree?

Of course! Despite the rehearsed feel, the performances were solid. I loved the authenticity behind each drummer’s style and how the band leaned into that.
I think Drum Solo Week was hilarious, with all the over-the-top theatrics. Some solos felt less like music and more like a comedy act, but maybe that’s what they were aiming for?
