Best Cases for B.C. Rich Mockingbird Guitar?

Looking for the Perfect Guitar Case

I’ve just got my hands on a B.C. Rich Mockingbird guitar, and I couldn’t be more excited! This guitar is not just incredible in terms of sound, but its unique shape has made me realize that I need a case that offers both protection and a snug fit.

I’ve started my search for the right case, but I could really use some feedback from fellow guitarists and owners about what to look for. Here are a few things on my mind:

  • Protection: Since the Mockingbird has quite a distinctive shape, I’m concerned about finding a case that keeps it secure and safe from any bumps or drops.
  • Fit: I’ve read that some cases might not accommodate the Mockingbird’s curves properly. Has anyone found any cases that fit perfectly?
  • Material: Are there certain materials to look for that provide the best durability without adding too much weight?
  • Price Range: I’m hoping to find a case that doesn’t break the bank, but still provides quality protection. What’s a reasonable price point for a good guitar case?

I’ve come across a few options online, but I’d love to hear from anyone who might already have recommendations based on actual experiences. What cases are you using for your Mockingbird, and are there any that you’d specifically recommend or avoid?

Looking forward to your thoughts and suggestions! Let’s keep our precious guitars safe!

Thanks in advance!

I’ve had my B.C. Rich Mockingbird for over five years now, and the case has held up wonderfully! It’s made of a durable hard-shell material that has protected my guitar from various bumps and drops.

That’s great to hear! I always worry about cases that claim to be durable. Any idea about how the foam inside holds up over time?

The foam in mine is still in great shape! It’s also designed to fit snugly around the instrument, which prevents movement during transport. No dents or anything after all this time.

I agree! My case is a lightweight plywood with plush lining inside. It has been resilient against wear and tear, even getting tossed around on stage. Definitely worth the investment!

Speaking of investment, how does humidity and temperature change affect your cases? Any issues there?

So far, I’ve had no major issues. I keep mine in a climate-controlled environment, and it really helps with the longevity of the materials.

My experience is mixed. I bought a cheaper case, and while it looked good at first, the handle started to fray within a year. Sometimes you get what you pay for!

Ouch, that sounds frustrating! What brand was it, just so I can avoid it?

It was from a lesser-known brand. I learned my lesson - paying a bit more for quality is definitely key.

I’ve seen some hilarious cases online. One had a cartoon design and looked barely protective! That said, I’d still be cautious with style over substance.

Ha! It’s true! You can’t skimp on protection just to look cool. Anyone have experience with a case that is both stylish and sturdy?

I’ve got a custom case that looks awesome and is super durable! It’s like a fortress for my guitar, and it gets compliments at every gig.

Custom sounds fantastic! I wish I could afford that. For now, I’ll stick to what has worked for me. Quality cases really pay off in the long run.

Absolutely! Speaking of which, I discovered a brand recently called Gator that seems to have a solid reputation. Anyone tried it?

I’ve tried the B.C. Rich hard case for my Mockingbird, and it fits snugly. The padding is great and really protects the headstock, which is a huge plus for me.

I agree! The extra padding really makes a difference, especially for those who move around a lot with their guitars. What model do you have, by the way?

I have the Mockingbird ST model, and I found that the case fits well but could use a little more depth for the body. It’s not bad, but worth mentioning.

I have the same issue with my Mockingbird Classic. It’s a snug fit, but I wish it had an extra inch or so for comfort.

Has anyone tried the gig bag version? I’m looking for something lighter but still protective for my Mockingbird.
