Need Help Finding a Good Guitar Repair Shop in Tampa Bay!

Seeking Guitar Repair Services in Tampa Bay

Hey folks,

I’m reaching out because I’m on the hunt for a reliable guitar repair shop in the Tampa Bay area. I’ve been dealing with some issues on my guitar, particularly with fret buzz and a couple of electronics problems. I’ve tried adjusting it myself, but I think I might need a professional’s touch.

Here’s a bit more about my situation:

  • Fret Buzz: It’s been driving me crazy, especially when I play certain frets. I’m hoping someone can diagnose the issue properly.
  • Broken Strings: I tend to break strings a lot; could someone recommend a shop that uses quality materials?
  • Neck Adjustments: I’ve heard a properly adjusted neck can make a world of difference, and I’d love to hear suggestions on who can do this well in the area.
  • Electronics Problem: I noticed some weird sounds when I plug in, and I want to make sure everything’s working smoothly.

Thanks in advance! I can’t wait to hear what you all recommend. :guitar:

Check out ‘Tampa Guitar Repair.’ I’ve had my Strat fixed there, and they did a fantastic job! Reasonably priced too.

I second ‘Tampa Guitar Repair’! They really take care of your instrument and the staff’s super knowledgeable.

Another great option is ‘Guitar Center Tampa.’ They have an onsite repair shop and offer great deals!

I’ve had mixed experiences at Guitar Center, though. Sometimes their turnaround can be slow.

I’m curious about ‘Tampa Guitar Repair.’ Do they work on all types of guitars?

Yes, they work on acoustics, electrics, and even bass guitars! Pretty versatile.

I’ve also heard about a small shop called ‘Strings & Things’ off Kennedy. Apparently, they do great fretwork!

I checked out ‘Strings & Things’ once; they have a cool vibe! Plus, the owner is super into guitars.

There’s a lot of hype about ‘Tampa Guitar Repair,’ but what about prices? Are they competitive?

No one ever mentions ‘The Guitar Guru.’ Has anyone been there? I’d love some insight.

‘The Guitar Guru’ is hit or miss, unfortunately. Some say they rush jobs, but I’ve had decent work done there.

It sounds like ‘Tampa Guitar Repair’ is the favorite here! So many positive reviews.

Hey everyone! I’m looking to get my guitar repaired in Tampa Bay. What are the most common issues you think I should look out for?

Common repairs include fret leveling, wiring issues, and setup adjustments. Expect to pay around $50 to $100 for basic setups and up to $200+ for extensive repairs.

Definitely check your intonation and action. Those are big ones too! When I took mine for a setup at a shop, it was around $75.
